US Military Fellowship (Skillbridge)

The US military offers many active military members the ability to participate in fellowships at participating companies during the end of their military service. There are many different programs; the largest is Skillbridge, which includes programs through the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. At NetApp, fellows are onboarded with the “military fellow” job code and are not allowed to be paid by NetApp or receive company benefits as the fellows are still paid and supported by the military during the fellowship.

Program goal

Military fellowships aim to help service members transition from the active military into the civilian world and, ideally, help these individuals find a full-time role at the end of the program. During the interview process, hiring managers will be transparent about the potential of a permanent position within their organization at the end of the fellowship. Unfortunately, being a NetApp military fellow does not guarantee eventual full-time employment. But we can ensure that through our program, all fellows will still gain valuable experience and expand their professional networks.

Our culture

NetApp values and behaviors serve as our inspiration and our guideposts on our journey together to build an aspirational culture and empower our customers and each other.

When you choose to be at NetApp, you choose to become part of something bigger than yourself – you choose to become integral to a diverse and inclusive culture that pursues boundless ambition in service to others.
