Summary

NetApp is looking for a Sales Lead to play a critical and strategic role in driving Astra through its next phase of growth. Astra’s family of products simplifies how customers protect, move, and store Kubernetes workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This is an opportunity to lead an agile, start-up minded team, focused on driving growth across both NetApp’s existing customer base and new customers.

Job Description

As the Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for developing and operationalizing the global GTM for Astra. In partnership with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and GTM leadership, you will design and develop sales motions across hybrid cloud, modern apps, and AI/ML, and build a go-to-market strategy that further accelerates Astra’s trajectory.

In your role, you will lead a team of Sales Specialists who are responsible for the end-to-end of Astra sales engagements. You and your team will partner with Client Executives to drive the end-to-end sales process through deal closure. You and your team will build and maintain relationships with all NetApp Client Executives, helping them understand the Astra offerings so they are able to assist in identifying new opportunities in their customer base.

Job Responsibilities

•    In this role you will build, coach, and develop a team of Sales Specialists
•    Support and manage your team in prospecting, qualifying and developing a robust sales pipeline and ensure quarterly revenue objectives are achieved
•    Build trusted, executive-level relationships with key customers to ensure alignment with top business objectives
•    Leverage data and insights to provide accurate team forecasts and pipeline generation strategies
•    Help improve our offerings by being the voice of sales and the customer to the senior leadership team
•    Responsible for managing all sales activities
•    Be an active member of the leadership team to define and drive internal change management efforts around the development and implementation of the GTM strategy

Minimum Requirements

•    2+ years of experience with modern technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, Istio/Envoy, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines
•    5+ years of experience working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role
•    Strong track record of sales delivery and execution, with the ability to drive long-term sustainable growth
•    1-2+ years of sales or business leadership experience
•    Entrepreneurial mindset and innovative thinking that can identify and execute business opportunities
•    Familiar with customer challenges surrounding software development and delivery
•    Understanding of application protection, data mobility and how it applies to modern applications
•    Experience with various cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP
•    Proficiency in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies
•    Comfortable and willing to be a hands-on contributor
•    Strong verbal and written communications, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
