Job Summary

As a Marketing Automation (MA) Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that plans and implements MA campaigns (Orcle Eloqua) and processes at NetApp. This position will work closely with the demand generation, campaign management and field marketing functions to understand their business needs and translate those into MA campaign deliverables.  You will design, project manage and optimize MA campaigns and serve as a best practice consultant to internal clients at NetApp.  Candidate will develop, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of MA programs and will steward marketing requests primarily in the EMEA/APAC geographies.

Job Responsibilities

As a Marketing Automation Specialist you will participate in the following areas to support our critical systems and marketing initiatives:

  • Serve as a Project Manager or lead on Eloqua automation campaign projects
  • Consult on MA best practices, database segmentation, and deployments.
  • Oversight and accountability on all MA requests
    • Review and approve requests
    • Define and adjust the project tasks and timelines as needed
    • Provide guidance to requester team
    • Initial and final testing of all components requested
    • Provide guidance to requestor on database segmentation
    • Create/Manage/Extract Lists
    • Schedule and deploy deliverables
  • Knowledge of all relevant systems (in particular Eloqua and SAP-Cloud for Customer)
  • Provide marketing program level reporting
  • Ensure all production and QA work are continually documented for Eloqua functionalities, automation workflows, and processes
  • Design and project manage email nurture workflows built in the Eloqua system
  • Regularly analyze and report on effectiveness of overall automation programs: identifying opportunities for improvement, recommending changes in the workflow design, or suggesting best practices that can be leveraged across the team.
  • Serve as Eloqua automation/workflow design expert for the team. Work with geo field marketing (EMEA/APAC) to provide best practices recommendations and design for regional implementations, provide training as needed.
  • Develop streamlined processes for managing updates and changes to the nurture/automation production process.
  • Identify and present new business opportunities through assessment of our scoring model, automated nurture programs or other associated eMarketing workflows.
  • Serve as Eloqua scoring expert for the team. Work with geo marketing (EMEA/APAC) to include regional requirements into program, provide training as needed.

Job Requirements

The candidate must possess strengths in project management, Marketing Automation strategies and analytics.

  • Experience with Eloqua prefered. Experience with CRM (SAP) a plus.
  • Candidate must be a high energy, can-do-person who can operate in a fast moving environment.
  • Ability to drive results and initiatives. Must be able to self-starter, supported by analytical rigor.
  • Strong analytical background and ability to constantly monitor results and refine marketing formulas accordingly.
  • An understanding of the storage market extremely helpful, with business knowledge of prospect/customer data management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience observing and translating user requests into business requirements
  • Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously, building appropriate processes and tools and delivering results.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.

Education

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
  • A Business or Technical Degree is required, or equivalent experience. Marketing, IS, CS Prefered.
  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
  • Understanding of Project Management, Digital Marketing technologies and CRM.
