Job Summary
Data Analysts work as part of a team that supports and enhances NetApp’s business processes and Data Quality.  You will utilize your strong technical competencies and functional business expertise to identify, evaluate and develop processes and procedures that meet business requirements. To do this successfully, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and drive quality improvement projects. An ability to understand business process issues and communicate technical solutions is essential to your success in this role
 
Essential Functions:
  • Data Analysis:
  • Provide information and analysis essential for data quality improvements, sales planning and strategy development
  • Aggregating and organizing information from multiple data sources to aid in analysis
  • Manage analytical projects to deliver intelligence and data discovery capabilities
  • Run statistical analysis on Customer data
  • Analyze and review existing data to ensure maximum quality
  • Data Management:
  • Provide transactional support to NetApp enterprise systems
  • Validate new company and address create requests from various systems (Ascend, Partner database, SAP CRM) through cleansing, standardizing and matching; ensuring completeness and accuracy of data
  • Data augmentation and enrichment for company names & addresses using external databases (D&B, Hoovers etc.,)
  • Extract company hierarchy information using D&B and Hoovers
  • Work closely with key business users to identify data gaps and needs
  • Provide support for projects as required, including participating in system enhancements
  • Manage data mapping, data transformation logic, deduplication rules, and business logic
  • Respond to field issue escalations related to Customer data and facilitate crossteam resolution
Job Requirements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as strong documentation skills
  • Must have the ability to support transactions, reconciliations and process changes; successfully partner with other professionals; and have strong business analysis skills
  • Attention to detail and follow-through is essential
  • Familiarity with a variety of data quality/integrity concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Strong customer engagement skills with a passion for prompt response and resolution
  • Flexible to work in rotational shifts
     

Responsibility and Interaction:

 

  • Responsibility: 
    • The types of tasks this individual is responsible for are primarily transactional including, supporting business transactions, reporting and process maintenance
  • Interaction:  
    • This individual interacts primarily within their department with their manager and other staff, and may communicate with employees in other functions as required
    • Regular and detailed direction is provided, as well as on-going review of activities and priorities
Education
  • Minimum 2-3 years of enterprise experience in data management and associated applications, preferably with high tech companies
  • A University degree or other related training is preferred
  • Good computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
