Job Summary

As a EMEA Professional Services Business Controller, you provide financial support and/or analysis in budgeting, planning, business processes, or reporting to a portion of a functional organization or to more senior finance staff for the EMEA geo.  You will perform economic research and studies and financial modeling to help future business planning decisions, and create reports and summaries as required by Corporate procedure or compliance regulations.  You will interface with cross-functional peers and managers and have an opportunity to contribute across various business challenges. The role will be a mixture of Financial Planning & Analysis and Field Finance support. 

Essential Functions:

The Business Controller role has responsibility for a wide range of financial support and analysis tasks.   You will help to ensure that departmental objectives and project deadlines are met.   The essential functions of the department include:

  • Prepare and drive operational and financial metrics in support of key decision making.
  • Participate in projects related to financial systems or business processes.
  • Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.
  • Work with cross-functional groups to provide technical support to business units including:
    • Profit and Loss profitability management
    • Bookings, revenue, cost of sales, opex and headcount forecasting
    • Budgeting
    • Variance analysis
    • Cost analysis
    • Line of Business pricing
    • Billable utilization analysis
    • Regulatory/compliance analysis and reporting
    • Deal support & Pricing

Integrate financial processes and operations of the business.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good interpersonal communication skills as needed to work successfully with VP, directors and managers within and outside of function.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a project based environment.
  • Ability to follow standard accounting and finance practices, and departmental procedures and processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

    • To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.

Education

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience is required; 9 to 11 years of experience is preferred.
  • A University Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
