Job Summary

As the Crisis Management (CM) and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Program Manager, you provide expertise on all aspects of the role and serve as a subject matter expert and ensure region wide quality and consistency in service delivery.

To be successful you must have extensive  experience in CM and BC/DR including  crisis communications, directly coordinating with senior level management. The ability or skills set to build close relationships with Regional stakeholders and work with Global teams is a prerequisite.

Job Requirements
  • Crisis management:
    • Elaborate crisis management scenario’s, in close collaboration with the Global team and concerned stakeholders. Participate in the decision process to launch the crisis management team as a result of a Major incident or event impacting NetApp stakeholders beyond a certain threshold. Act as crisis management facilitator in facilitating the crisis management activation
    • Maintain the crisis documentation to ensure it is up to date. Organize and coordinate CM & BC/DR exercises. Is highly available in case of a crisis. Use technology solutions to innovate the delivery of services. Provide leadership and drive innovation across the regions
  • Business Continuity
    • Build and implement a business continuity framework and delver a standardized approach for incident management. You will be given the responsibility to ensure business risks are managed and mitigated, and appropriate business continuity plans are developed, tested and trained. Ensure we remain operational, mitigate business impact and safeguard our reputation in case disruptive events take place, such as natural disasters, political unrest, cyber threats, but also system outage and human error as at the core of this role
    • Ability to oversee situations quickly and drive the execution of business continuity strategies across multiple departments and stakeholders while remaining in the driving seat. Take the lead on implementing process improvements from incident reviews liaising with key stakeholders in other businesses units and functions. Influence, persuade and engage at senior level to ensure we move forward on topics that are not frontline interest to most until things go wrong. Ensure that the Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management plans are updated, reviewed and approved at least annually
  • Educated Bachelor’ degree or equivalent
  • Professional certification and/ or accreditation in crisis management, crisis communications and business continuity
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral (informal and presentation)
  • Strong interpersonal skills- building trust and rapport
  • Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a Global environment and virtual teams
