As an L2 Administrator you will work as part of a highly technical team of professionals who support the day-to-day management and operations of NetApp's heterogenous Systems.  You will utilize your strong technical background and related experience to positively contribute to the department's goals and vision for advancing NetApp's infrastructure.  To be successful you will need a strong technical orientation; be a creative problem solver; have excellent customer service skills; have a desire to advance in the field; and work well in a team-oriented environment. 

Essential Functions:

The L2 Administrator works as part of Administration team providing operational support for heterogenous (Storage/Compute/Networking and Virtualization) environments in the Corporate Datacenters and LABS including general administration and management.  Your specific areas of responsibilities include:

- Perform monitoring and maintenance of overall Unix/Storage/Compute systems and applications.

- Provide troubleshooting for assigned level, operating system upgrades, capacity planning and provisioning on daily basis.

- Possessing strong foundational skills in the areas of Storage and Virtualization environment. Unix/Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Openstack, NAS/SAN Administration skills.                                              - Provide analysis of performance while identifying issues and working with more experienced team members for resolution.

- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools

-Strong grasp of automation tools & Data management skills

- Must have strong command in infrastructure management
- Experience with AWS and AWS provided tools (Cloud formation, OpsWorks etc is plus

  • An understanding of modern DevOps tools like Ansible, Puppet etc.

- Work with more Senior Administrators on review of entire environment and executing initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance.

- Communicate with internal customers, peers, and managers regarding various Systems administration issues.

- Positive Attitude and willingness to learn new technologies. Adaptable to the ever-changing world.                   



Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
