Job Summary

As NetApp IT Shared Apps Manager, you are responsible for ‘Technology Delivery’ across technologies like Applications Integration, Enterprise Search and Content Management You will be managing a team of technology developers across diverse technologies and you will need to collaborate with other application managers across geographies and share delivery responsibilities in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of technology experts, working on diverse technologies like Application Integration / SOA, Enterprise Search, DevOps and Content Management   for multiple enterprise applications
  • Hire and retain top talent from the job market
  • Share delivery responsibilities with peer managers of Shared Services across geographies
  • Need to comprehend multiple diverse technology requirements with ease, relate them to organizational priorities and reflect that in the deliveries
  • Contribute and influence IT initiatives
  • Occasional travel to Vendor locations and NetApp headquarters

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of the full software development life cycle
  • Experience, or working knowledge of, Agile/Scrum
  • Strong conceptual knowledge of Operating Systems, Platform, Middleware, Networking, Application Security, Cloud computing, Distributed computing, Clusters, DevOps, MicroServices
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Development experience in at least one of - Integration / SOA, J2EE, MEAN stack, MicroServices, Docker containers / OpenShift, API Management, BigData is desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills; able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of product lifecycle, tools, processes, and operations planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment; flexibility to work extended hours and weekends if needed; occasional travel required.
  • Experience with developing budgets and predicting project costs.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results.

Education

  • Graduation or Post Graduation in Computer Science/Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of overall experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience leading teams of engineers in a high growth, fast paced environment
