Job Summary

In the role of Manager within the Enterprise Reporting and Data Management Operations team (ERDM Ops), you are responsible for managing reporting operations of one or more functions including but not limited to: Corporate Finance Planning & Accounting, Controllership, Internal Audit, Field Finance, Marketing, Sales & Services, etc. It involves day-to-day supervision of reporting analysts who have ownership and responsibility for providing world class reporting and analytics services. Regular engagement with business around their reporting requirements and constant pro-active evolution of reports is key to driving success for the team.

Essential Functions:
  • Managing reporting deadlines / calendar to ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through regular engagement and work with them to own and drive end to end projects
  • Propose and incubate new reporting & analytics solutions and convert them into processes
  • Work with IT and end users to design, publish and maintain analytical reports to make information available to business owners
  • Utilize previously acquired technical experience to become actively involved in day-to-day projects and operational work to meet schedules, resolve problems and drive optimization of reports to reduce complexity and enable self-serve (Tableau)
  • Act as a resource for managers in other functions who require support from the department
  • Drive documentation of reporting for ease of reference for the business teams on the logic used to derive reports

Requirements:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex reporting issues
  • Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, and Power Point software programs
  • In-depth knowledge of using any analytical tools to summarize, visualize and deliver great presentations. Should be able to set up and deliver business reporting processes to stakeholders. Good knowledge of SQL required.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide direction and leadership in team roles; or by direct management oversight

Education

Education & Experience:

 

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as an individual contributor doing weekly/ monthly / quarterly / annual reporting of entities and 1 to 5 years as a people manager is required
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Science required or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects
