Job Summary
The PS Performance Global Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for managing the strategic process workload for the daily support of forecasting, business analytics and GTM strategy to support the NetApp Professional Services organization. This role is anchored by providing leadership to a globally distributed team, driving highly prioritized projects with revenue implications through initiation, delivery, and ongoing management. The Manager will support the global team working with, as well as directly, business stakeholders and business units across Professional Services in identifying opportunities to optimize and support the modernization of PS, helping to instigate and drive innovation to enable the business in strategic and operational decision making. The goals include defining the operating model of existing processes and tooling options to support the Global PS leadership and field organization, Supplier Relationship Office, Global Project Delivery, Finance, and HR. Developing a center of excellence for business operations, including subject matter experts in process innovation, business and data analytics, and system developers. Drive Continuous Service Improvement Plans collaborating with stakeholders to proactively lead collaboration around implementation of efficient business workloads. Direct the business input to the annual planning process and prioritize the teams’ initiatives and projects to support business requirements, where identified, working with the PS Global Project Management team ensuring initiatives and projects are delivered on time. Reporting to leadership on the status of revenue impacting initiatives and projects. Identify opportunities where internal or external solutions may maximize the return on investment. This is a globally strategic, fast-paced, dynamic role that requires critical thinking and a business attitude where teamwork and collaboration are a must. Successful candidates will have exceptional soft skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
Job Requirements
• Business Leadership and Point of Contact for Global PS Business Operations providing delivery insight to the organization by implementing industry and customer trends to drive revenue recognition.
• Work closely and establish a close collaboration with PS leadership, PS Operations Management, PS Field delivery management, and Finance to execute the Strategic PS Delivery Vision.
•Deliver consistent and effective improvements to PS GTM strategy while maximizing globally scalable process implementation for Strategic emerging workloads.
• Review all areas of the Professional Services business to identify where efficiencies can be introduced using globally centralized reporting and toolsets, which could include tracking Supplier Purchase Order consumption, Purchase order Approval, Internal resource delivery utilization, and Internal and supplier resource margin contributions.
• Explore automation and technologies such as AI that would benefit the business and enable faster decision-making.
• Management of the pipeline of business requests and enhancements of existing tools and reporting capabilities for current initiatives, including and not limited to; the NetApp Skills Marketplace, Supplier Bid Process, Backlog reporting, PS Forecasting, PS by the Numbers, NetApp PS delivery Centers of Excellence, PULSE enhancements, Global Dashboard, Tableau.
• Develop Business cases working with teams to provide effective improvements and support the business to define long-term strategies for PS Delivery Process.
• Partner with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver tools and applications to support and automate operational processes for PS effectiveness. Ensure Business Operations projects are delivered on time and to budget; perform post-delivery Return on Investment assessments.
• Explore improvement opportunities within the business to unlock productivity and accelerate execution of PS pipeline bookings, revenue generation and cost-effective delivery methods.
• Define and maintain processes, ensuring compliance with operations policy while actioning improvement opportunities to streamline and automate NetApp governance processes, evolving as needed to ensure efficient and transparent processes.
• Define and Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of digital transformation initiatives and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
• Overseeing data integrity and flawless execution of transactional operations delivered by the Business Operations team to support Revenue Delivery while developing process metrics to define success criteria to measure success against improvement targets.
• Implement PS requirements and effectiveness through support of corporate programs around CRM rollout, ERP design/rollout, EAM and CPQ optimization while identifying key areas for transformation and leading initiatives to consume new digital technologies, processes, and systems.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree desired or equivalent job experience
• 8-10 years’ experience with 3 – 5 years of previous management experience, leading a distributed team is advantageous.
• Previous experience in the virtual management of a cross-functional team
• Experience in working in a Professional Services organization.
• Experience in working with teams in the development of delivery strategies
• Strong process management and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Self-driven with a goal for the team to succeed.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to build partnerships and alliances internally and with external partners at all levels of the organization
