Job Requirements

The Tax Manager has the following key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the transition of EMEA based compliances to a centralized location in Bangalore and assist in building the tax team at this location;
  • Oversee third party service provider preparation of all direct and indirect EMEA filings including ensuring information internally is obtained and shared in a timely manner; coordinate final review with EMEA tax leader;
  • Manage the development of an improved compliance calendar;
  • Assist with ongoing software implementation project (provision and compliance);
  • Liaise with other key tax, accounting and finance professionals on process improvement projects;
  • Assist in the creation of a worldwide withholding tax matrix;
  • Maintain tax balances within the general ledger by overseeing the preparation of aging and tax account reconciliations;
  • Ensure the remittance of timely tax payments;
  • Assist in providing advice to non-tax teams on VAT and all other tax matters;
  • Support the statutory financial statements audits for EMEA;
  • Provide support to tax provision team on matters related to quarterly and year-end tax provisions;
  • Manage and coordinate tax activities (M&A) and tax audits with third party service providers and HQ tax colleagues;
  • Understand the company’s business and maintain effective control on the tax processes;


  • 8+ years of experience in a Big-4 firm or multi-national company with increasing responsibilities; experience managing people required;
  • Experience in both public accounting and corporate tax departments is preferred;
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing issues common to multi-national technology companies;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and cross functional teams;
  • Independent and self-driven with the ability to find solutions in a fast-paced environment;
  • Growth mindset and willingness to embrace change;
  • Result oriented;
  • Working knowledge of worldwide taxation issues including general IP concepts and transfer pricing as well as strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax concepts;
  • Master degree in tax law or tax economics (accounting knowledge is strongly preferred);
  • Willingness to take on new challenges, learn independently and be part of a dynamic tax team;
  • Organized, self-motivated with a cooperative attitude;
  • Strong accounting, analytical, documentation and research skills;
  • Ability to identify and drive process improvements
