Job Summary

NetApp is offering an exceptional and dynamic opportunity for a Project Manager to join its elite team of technologists in Bangalore, India. This role is critical for overseeing the Installation Business for NetApp India and for leading a team of Professional Services (PS) Field Engineers to ensure successful execution and delivery of assigned projects. The team prioritises delivering outstanding customer experiences and values fostering strong internal and external relationships.

Job Requirements

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for defining, planning, tracking, and managing implementation projects. This will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Pre-Sales, and Engineering, as well as direct engagement with customers and partners, ensuring that all projects are completed successfully. A strong understanding of NetApp storage technologies is essential due to the varied clientele.

  • Manage all aspects of projects, including planning, estimation, execution, and implementation.
  • Identify, utilise, and manage key resources required to achieve project objectives.
  • Organise and lead project team meetings.
  • Monitor project resources, track metrics, and provide regular project status updates.
  • Oversee project setup and ensure accurate time entry by the project team in designated tools.
  • Ensure optimal utilisation of project team members.
  • Review Statements of Work (SOW) to confirm compliance with the company’s portfolio offerings.
  • Manage project deliverables in accordance with agreed-upon SOW terms.
  • Provide weekly updates and conduct meetings with the leadership team.

Offer guidance and supervision to project team members as required

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with, lead, and motivate employees in a team environment to achieve ambitious goals within set timelines.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration within an organisation, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong relationship management skills and a proven track record in managing project teams.
  • Experience with customer-facing projects.
  • PMP Certification is preferred.
  • ITIL Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in data storage or systems management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully complete multiple, moderately complex technical projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong experience in customer interaction and consulting.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexible and innovative approach to work assignments.
  • Strong documentation and organisational abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master’s degree with 8–10 years of experience, or
  • PhD with relevant professional experience, or
  • Equivalent combination of relevant professional education/training and applicable work experience.
