Job Summary

Job Summary:

As Operations Manager you are part of the Indirect Procurement team responsible for managing IP operational processes, tools, technology and analytics.   Working with the Global Operations Manager, your peers in GSS and our third party services providers, you will serve as a business interface for operational topics.   In your role as Operations Program Manager  you will help drive the improvement and the creation of supporting processes, procedures, performance metrics, technology, training and organizational elements at the global level to execute against each category and functional strategy.

To be successful in this role the ability to collaborate, build consensus and alignment will be critical as you work with internal and external stakeholders to build and implement the operational functional strategies that serve Indirect Procurement Group’s growing needs.  As well you must have excellent communication and facilitation skills; problem solving skills and be a motivated self-starter.

Essential Functions:

·Manage tools and analytics and related processes for Indirect Procurement which include but not limited to: Ariba eSourcing tools (Sourcing, Contracting, SIPM), Ariba catalogs (Content Delivery), EchoSign, Tableau, Oracle EBI, ServiceNow,

·Lead projects related to procurement systems or business processes.

·Manage & develop spend and performance analytics by demonstrating an understanding of best practices and applying them to Indirect Procurement to assist with developing category strategies and leverage opportunities for action within IP.

·Assist in the testing of design and enhancement of tools and reports used by sourcing and procurement.

·Manage the development and maintenance of process documentation; Visio process flow-charts, Standard Operation Procedures and perform website content updates and maintenance.

·Manage the development and maintenance of templates and training documentation for internal NetApp users on strategy and tools.

·Plan, perform and implement process improvement initiatives, survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes, align improvement to performance shortfalls.

·Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.

·Determine project cost, resource requirement, and project timing based on scope and complexity of the project.

·Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities, measure performance against process requirements

Requirements:

 

  • Strong experience in overall procurement process cycle (analyze, develop, go-to market, contract, buy, manage)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; including process documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, task and project management, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working on complex global projects and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong technical background with advanced personal computer skills including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Strong understanding of procurement tools including Ariba Sourcing, Contracting, Procurement Content, P2O, Oracle iProcurement, Tableau (Working knowledge of Ariba applications a plus)
  • Tools & Technology savvy, passion to learn new business tools how they are used and can be improved
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to support delivery scope & deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently.

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
