Title:  Principal Product Manager (Security / SaaS / Cloud)

Job Summary

This is not just another product management role. You will be at the epicenter of NetApp's transformation, shaping our strategy and product portfolio for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and the emerging, critical field of AI Security Posture Management (AISPM). As enterprises grapple with data sprawl, regulatory pressures, and the unique security risks of AI, they need a new paradigm for data security—one that is intelligent, automated, and built into the infrastructure itself.

This role is critical to NetApp’s success. You will be responsible for defining and building the solutions that will secure our customers' most asset—their data—as they navigate the complexities of digital transformation and AI adoption. We are looking for a visionary, well-rounded product leader who can connect deep technical understanding with a powerful go-to-market strategy, ensuring NetApp leads this next frontier of data management.

Job Requirements

• Proven Product Leadership: 7+ years of product management experience, with a track record of launching and scaling successful enterprise B2B software or SaaS products.

• Deep Domain Expertise: You possess a profound understanding of the data security, governance, and compliance landscape. Direct experience in Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), or a closely related field is required. A strong, demonstrable understanding of the unique security challenges posed by AI/ML models and data pipelines (AISPM) is a significant advantage.

• Technical Chops: You are not afraid to go deep with engineers. You have a strong technical background, are comfortable with modern cloud-native architectures, and can command the respect of your technical counterparts. Experience with data infrastructure, storage, and public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly beneficial.

• GTM Acumen: You have a proven ability to partner with sales and marketing to build and execute successful go-to-market plans that drive product adoption and revenue growth.

• Strategic Mindset: You can see the big picture, analyze complex market trends, and make informed decisions to drive long-term business outcomes.

• Exceptional Communicator: You can articulate a compelling vision and complex technical concepts with clarity and passion to a wide range of audiences, from executives to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the Vision & Strategy: Define and evangelize a compelling product vision and multi-year strategy for NetApp’s DSPM and AISPM offerings, aligning with the company’s broader intelligent data infrastructure goals.

• Drive the Roadmap: Develop and manage a data-driven product roadmap, translating customer needs and market dynamics into clear product requirements, user stories, and feature prioritization for our engineering teams.

• Master the Go-to-Market: Partner with product marketing, sales, and partner organizations to craft and execute a winning GTM strategy. This includes defining

target markets, developing pricing and packaging, creating compelling messaging, and enabling the field.

• Be the Voice of the Customer: Live and breathe the customer's world. Engage deeply with enterprise CISOs, data officers, and AI/ML leaders to understand their pain points, validate hypotheses, and champion their needs throughout the product lifecycle.

• Lead Through Influence: Serve as the subject matter expert and evangelist for data and AI security, both internally and externally. Articulate the value proposition to customers, analysts, and at industry events.

• Execute with Precision: Collaborate closely with world-class engineering, UX, and program management teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality products that delight customers.

Education

IC - Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience.
