We seek a motivated Managed Serviced Engineer to join our Managed Services Customers for the smooth functioning of Storage Professional Services.

You will provide Level 2 Infrastructure Improvements, Designs, New Installations, and implementations with best practices, predominantly working on NetApp Storage and Cloud products and services, support to our customers by responding to Incidents and requests, Problem Management Experience in supporting a varied clientele and a strong understanding of all NetApp storage-based technologies.

Job Requirements

  • Experienced in NetApp Storage (Deploying and administering NetApp Storage – CDOT, Troubleshooting Issues, performing firmware and operating system upgrades, using storage management tools – OnCommand Unified Manager/ Performance Manager, Managing backup integration with NetApp technologies).
  • Proficient understanding of NetApp Storage concepts, related management tools and related Storage technologies (Snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, Snapmirror, Encryption, MFA, AD Integration) including monitoring and troubleshooting, administration, replication technologies, security hardening and performance tuning.
  • Experience in other NetApp storage technologies like Storage grid, E-Series would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in NetApp Cloud technologies like NetApp Console, CVO, Cloud Backup, Data infrastructure Insights, Data Classification, Cloud Sync, Amazon FSxN for ONTAP, GCNV, ANF etc.
  • Working experience with either GCP, Azure or AWS hyperscale.
  • Good to have Associate/Professional level Cloud certification for either of hyperscale Google/Azure/AWS
  • Good to have NetApp cloud-based certifications like Hybrid Cloud Administrator or Implementation Engineer. 
  • Experience in Infrastructure deployment, backup and disaster recovery testing.
  • Strong customer communication and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of automation tools and basics of PowerShell/Python scripts would be beneficial.
  • A thorough understanding of other components in the infrastructure stack – compute, virtualization and network.
  • Strong understanding of Storage protocols and technologies (CIFS, NFS, S3, iSCSI, Fibre Channel switching and networks).
  • Knowledge on Trident, Trident Protect, OpenShift and OpenStack will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge in ITIL methodologies: Change, incident, problem and configuration management.
  • ITIL Fundamentals certification (desirable).
  • Understanding of monitoring platforms, WANs, SANs, backup and disaster recovery platforms.
  • Windows server and related Microsoft technologies including monitoring and troubleshooting, administration, security hardening, would be advantageous.
  • Good to have experience in Linux System Administration.
  • Built and maintained strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Positive, proactive, team-orientated attitude with a flexible and innovative approach to work.
  • Capable of training customers in ad-hoc knowledge transfer as well as organized demonstrations or our methodologies.

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant professional experience; or equivalent combination of professional education/training and applicable work experience.
