Job Summary

You will be a data science and developer at NetApp Bangalore, part of a highly skilled technical team and working closely with a team of senior software developers. Your work product will inform customers’ usage of NetApp computer storage systems.


Essential Functions:
You will be responsible for the architecture, high level design and development and implementation of analytical models that will be deployed as web applications and software as a service on cloud. You will be responsible for contributing and aligning to system level application architecture that includes design, development and testing of code.
You will select and employ advanced statistical procedures, ML models, to provide endusers with actionable insights.
You will collaborate with data engineers developing analytics data pipelines in production systems to assure high quality results.
You will maintain knowledge of current technology stacks for projects to be deployed across cloud platforms and on-premise infrastructure.
This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, driven to produce results and demonstrates the ability to working across teams with domain expertise.
 

Job Requirements

Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and stay abreast of technology and tools in a fast evolving ecosystem
-    Understand the business reality and technical challenges underlying large sets of data and develop meaningful solutions comprising of analytics as well as encoding it as software.
-    Collaborate with subject matter experts to determine relevant data sources
-    Expertise and experience in Data normalization, transformation and Feature selection techniques
-    Experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to derive business value from the full range of internal and external data sets, leveraging Cloud-based “Big Data” technology. Wide variety of performance modelling solutions:
o    Forecasting & predictions
o    Anomaly detection
o    Time series analysis 
o    Text mining and NLP
 

Education

Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience is required.  7 to 12 years of experience is preferred. 

Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar. Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in data analysis and generating business insights.
Competent in machine learning principles and techniques and history of devising and overseeing data-centered projects.
Solid data management and statistical modeling skills: R, Python (SciPy, NumPy, scimitar-learn).
Experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Presto, Cassandra, Kafka and NoSQL databases.
Data analysis, reporting, visualization expertise and experience with tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python and R at scale.
Outstanding communications skills, with the ability to relay insights in layman's terms, such that these can be used to inform business decisions.
Domain experience in Storage, Filesystems, hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
