As an Indirect Procurement leader, you will lead a team of Sourcing Analysts, Contracting Analysts and Sourcing Managers for the EMEA/APAC/India shift

This position requires an individual to be a visionary, creative, self-driven to produce results for the group and demonstrated ability to work in highly dynamic workplace. You will supervision the execution of the majority of all complex and tactical souring and contracting projects for the entire NetApp organization.

In your role you will help drive the continuous improvement and the creation of supporting processes, procedures, performance metrics, technology, training and organizational elements at the global level to execute against each category and functional strategy.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the tactical team related to their function and responsibilities
  • Align closely with the Indirect Procurement Professional Services and Technology Managers as well as the Operations Manager on sourcing and category strategies
  • Manage the team against the internal defined SLAs and indirect procurement targets
  • Manage all HR related matters of the team
  • Plan, perform and implement process improvement initiatives, survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes, align improvement to performance shortfalls.
  • Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements.
  • Determine project cost, resource requirement, and project timing based on scope and complexity of the project.

Help develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities, measure performance against process requirements

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as tactical indirect procurement lead, directly leading and guiding procurement staff; 8+ years of professional indirect procurement experience
  • 5+ years of working experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) champions on Lean, Six Sigma, Agile Scrum, PMP, Change Management and/or similar methodologies.
  • Ability to estimate work completion required to build an overall predictable plan
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure being complaint to the given process
  • Provides feedback on procurement processes and work streams
  • Provides coaching, education and feedback to Sourcing Services provider on designated business units, categories/areas of spend
  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to motivate and manage people
  • A strong team player
  • Solid decision-making ability using available facts in sensitive client and internal situations
  • Ability to develop and implement processes across multiple programs to create consistency and efficiencies
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both internally, with client stakeholders, and the supplier community)
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft business tools
  • Experience in using eSourcing tools including eRFx, reverse auctions, project management tools, and contract management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes
  • Good time-management, strong interpersonal and communication skills, willing to work with globally spread teams.
  • This individual will apply broad expertise or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given time, budget and resource constraints.
  • Demonstrated project management and/or kaizen facilitation experience at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong experience in overall procurement process cycle (analyze, develop, go-to market, contract, buy, manage)

Education

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required, Master’s degree is preferred
  • Lean Sensei/Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP certification or relevant demonstrated work experience is required
