Job Summary
We are looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) for our Keystone Storage as a Service offering, which has shown the highest year-over-year growth in NetApp. In this role, the TME will collaborate closely with Field Technical teams, Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, and other key partners. The focus will be on delivering key technical value propositions to the field and customers through the creation of technical collaterals, presentations, blogs, solution briefs, demos, etc., to create program awareness and evangelization. The role involves ensuring field cohesion, influencing product development efforts, and field initiatives. The TME will engage continuously with the Keystone product management team to ensure corporate goals are met and drive innovation.
Job Requirements
Key responsibilities include
- Working with broader technical marketing engineers to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and automation of deployments and infrastructure.
- Consulting and influencing engineering teams on new features and software architecture.
- Develop whitepapers, solution briefs, blogs, presentations, and demo videos to showcase product capabilities and educate customers and partners.
- Conducting periodic sales/partner training/workshops, debugging, and troubleshooting service bottlenecks.
- Frequent collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Support to ensure alignment on roadmap and customer needs.
- Providing advanced escalation support, and supporting product launch activities.
- The TME will also respond to customer or field inquiries, assist with technical RFPs.
- Influence product roadmap and development priorities with field and customer perspectives.
The successful candidate should have
- Experience building and operating production and test environments.
- Familiarity with distributed systems design patterns using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in creating content like videos, presentations, blogs, and technical documents.
- Experience presenting at conferences, webinars, and creating thought leadership content.
- Skilled at bridging gaps between engineering, product management, and field teams to align on priorities.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships cross-functionally.
- Deep dive expertise in one or more infrastructure areas are essential.
Education
- Minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably 5 to 6 years in enterprise software and IT infrastructure or technical marketing
- Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline
