Job Summary
CPE is a global function and handles engineering level customer escalations across the product and solution landscape. CPE brings engineering level skill sets closer to the support. CPE teams are involved in detecting and fixing issues seen with customers – including fixing defects. Another major area of contribution is improving the supportability of NetApp products by adding supportability features. Person joining this role works for core OS kernel debugging team. He/she is responsible for analysing core dumps and automating analysis of recurring issues.
Job Requirements
• Experience in Python, Pandas/Numpy, Django and Linux development.
• Hands-on experience in Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes and Mongo DB.
• Working experience in AWS EC2, Elastic Container Service, CloudFormation.
Nice to have would be PostgreSQL, Javascript, RabbitMQ, Grafana, Flask.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
• Work collaboratively within a team of other engineers.
• Ability to estimate work completion required to build an overall predictable plan.
• Creative and analytical approach to problem solving
• Responsible for customer escalations, delivering timely communication, ownership of unblocking customers and driving the conversation end-to-end to the extent of fixing the code/enhancement.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, solutions and customer landscape.
• Ability to handle unstructured tasks, especially when the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives, creative approaches and with more interdependencies.
• Apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation.
• Limited supervision and direction are provided, as this individual can operate, drive results and set priorities independently.
• Successfully convey information to stakeholders at many levels related to the position- Work effectively with senior engineers within Business Unit.
• Critical and/or high visibility customer support
Education
BE/BTech/M Tech/MS degree or equivalent related experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in an area of expertise is a strong plus, including 2-5 years of experience working in that area of expertise
