Job Summary

Job Summary:

As a Sourcing Analyst, you are part of the Global Indirect Procurement team responsible for nonstrategic sourcing of goods, and services for your designated categories.  You will serve as a business interface, along with your assigned  Business Sourcing Partner/s and Category Managers. You will focus on the execution of sourcing projects and quick quotes related to the categories that you are assigned to.  You will also be responsible to identify new opportunities together with the Business Sourcing Partner/s as well as service improvements with your internal customers. To be successful, you will need to be extremely organized; able to collaborate and partner in a complex environment; have good communication and facilitation skills; and be a motivated self-starter.


Essential Functions:


·Execution of tactical sourcing projects and quick quotes

·Drafting of agreements, Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation with limited direction using traditional or e-sourcing applications.

·Aligns tactical sourcing/quick quotes with the related category strategy and interfaces with the Category Manager

·Works with the internal customers as well as the Business Sourcing Partner and/or Category Manager to define detailed business requirements with designated business units, prioritizing business requirements and taking them through approval process

·Participates in post sourcing project reviews and project evaluations

·Assists the Business Sourcing Partner in business unit capacity and demand planning forecasting customer business unit demand for GSS services

Sourcing Operations

·Provides feedback on procurement processes and work streams

Job Requirements


  • Strong eSourcing skills, including DSS sourcing methodology, eSourcing technology, RFX development and management
  • Strong customer service orientation including demonstrated issue resolution and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data in Excel using pivot tables and various other key Excel functions to analyze, organize and present data
  • Mastery of client specific processes, terminology, political environment, systems and unique requirements by various business groups
  • Excellent project management skills including project planning, time management, multitasking, critical path definition
  • Ability to follow a process based on documented guidelines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to summarize a large amount of quantitative and qualitative information in support of developing RFx packages
  • Solid decision making ability using available facts in sensitive client situations
  • Proficiency of one eSourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Procuri, Iasta, Zycus, ERP eSourcing module) at an “advanced” level (as defined by DSS, Software company, or client standards)
  • Mastery of various DSS project documentation and tracking systems
  • Ability to assess projects’ fit for reverse auction, setup and manage reverse auctions with minimal supervision
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  •  Ability to follow a process based on documented guidelines without supervision
  • Ability to conduct basic level spend assessment for opportunity identification
  • Ability to facilitate a total cost ownership discussion with a client team and identify total cost elements
  • Ability to handle client’s issues and escalations with sensitivity and diligence, eliminating a need for further escalation
  • Advanced Excel skills, including working knowledge of filters, sorting, pivot tables, basic formulas, advanced formatting techniques, and advance data manipulation skills
  • Proficiency in eSourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Procuri, Iasta, Zycus, ERP eSourcing module) at an “advanced” level (as defined by DSS, Software company, or client standards)


Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
