Job Summary

As Operations Helpdesk Manager you are part of the Indirect Procurement team responsible for managing IP operational processes, tools, technology and analytics.   Working with the Global Operations Manager, your peers in GPS and our third party services providers, you will serve as a business interface for operational topics.   
In your role as Operations Helpdesk Manager  you will perform simple to complex operations tasks and support to daily operational issues, escalations and challenges.  You will also perform tasks associated with maintaining operational functionality of the tools for procurement and the processes associated with those tools
.To be successful in this role the ability to collaborate, build consensus and alignment will be critical as you work with internal and external stakeholders to build and implement the operational functional strategies that serve Indirect Procurement Group’s growing needs.  As well you must have excellent communication and facilitation skills; problem solving skills and be a motivated self-starter.

Job Functions

•    Manage incoming inquiries and requests from employees and assess, understand and resolve issues and/or provide guidance on how to get help. 
•    Gather information and assign tasks to various groups within procurement and follow up on execution of sourcing or contracting requests. 
•    Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams including procurement, finance, AP, legal etc 
•    Manage tools and analytics and related processes for Indirect Procurement which include but not limited to: Ariba eSourcing tools (Sourcing, Contracting, SIPM), Ariba catalogs (Content Delivery), EchoSign, Tableau, Oracle EBI, ServiceNow, 
•    Manage & develop spend and performance analytics by demonstrating an understanding of best practices and applying them to Indirect Procurement to assist with developing category strategies and leverage opportunities for action within IP. 
•    Assist in the testing of design and enhancement of tools and reports used by sourcing and procurement.
•    Manage the development and maintenance of process documentation; Visio process flow-charts, Standard Operation Procedures and perform website content updates and maintenance.
•    Manage the development and maintenance of templates and training documentation for internal NetApp users on strategy and tools.

Job Requirements

•    Strong experience in overall procurement process cycle (analyze, develop, go-to market, contract, buy, manage)
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills; including process documentation. 
•    Strong Ariba functional & reporting knowledge (good understanding of Sourcing, contracting & reporting modules)
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, task and project management, and organizational skills. 
•    Experience working on complex global projects and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
•    Strong technical background with advanced personal computer skills including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
•    Strong understanding of procurement tools including Ariba Sourcing, Contracting, Procurement Content, P2O, Oracle iProcurement, Tableau (Working knowledge of Ariba applications a plus) 
•    Tools & Technology savvy, passion to learn new business tools how they are used and can be improved
•    Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to support delivery scope & deadlines. 
•    Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently.


•    A minimum of 7 years of experience is required. 
•    A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree is required, or equivalent experience. 
•    Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.  
•    Work experience within a operational department with high transaction volumes; (i.e. Procurement, Finance, IT, Helpdesk/customer service) preferred
