Job Summary
NetApp’s Keystone team delivers the industry’s leading Storage‑as‑a‑Service (STaaS) platform. As a UX Designer, you will shape intuitive, modern experiences that help customers onboard, manage, and scale their storage subscriptions. You’ll design end‑to‑end workflows for the Keystone Subscription Engine covering onboarding, billing, manageability, and service interactions translating complex functionality into simple, user‑focused solutions. You will work closely with product managers, architects, and engineers across the company to bring clarity, consistency, and usability to a rapidly growing service. As part of our AI‑forward UX culture, you'll use responsible AI tools to accelerate design work, explore concepts, validate ideas, and improve overall quality. This US‑based role collaborates with distributed teams to elevate the Keystone experience across NetApp’s STaaS ecosystem.

What You Will Do
As a UI/UX Designer (UI/UX 3), you will play a key role in shaping intuitive, intelligent, and modern product experiences for NetApp’s global customer base. In this role, you will:
Design & Deliver Exceptional User Experiences
- Create end‑to‑end UX deliverables including user flows, wireframes, interaction patterns, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups using Figma.
- Translate complex technical requirements into simple, elegant, user‑centered designs for enterprise applications across web and cloud platforms.
- Ensure consistency, usability, accessibility, and visual excellence by adhering to and contributing to our design systems.
Collaborate Across Global, Cross‑Functional Teams
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other UX professionals across Company.
- Influence day‑to‑day design decisions and guide discussions to ensure user needs stay at the center of product development.
- Drive alignment on design direction through clear storytelling, strong communication, and evidence‑based recommendations.
Leverage Responsible AI to Drive Measurable Outcomes
- Use AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Bard, internal ML models, Figma Make, RPA, etc.) to accelerate prototyping, improve design quality, conduct rapid exploration, and scale impact.
- Quantify benefits from AI usage, such as reduced design cycle time, improved usability scores, fewer customer‑reported issues, or enhanced design consistency.
- Apply AI governance principles including prompt strategy, data security, bias awareness, and validation of AI‑generated outputs.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Design, Computer Science, Psychology, or related field.
- 5–8 years of UX/Product Design experience for enterprise or cloud‑based products.
- Strong skills in user flows, wireframes, interaction design, visual design, and Figma.
