Title:  UI/UX Designer

Job Summary

NetApp is developing a portfolio of data-centric storage platforms and services to help organizations unlock the power of their data. Our Keystone team delivers subscription-based, pay-as-you-go solutions for managing data on-premises or in the cloud. At Keystone, designers are strategic partners in shaping product to customer outcome. We value designers who understand the business problem, customer needs, and technical constraints, and who work closely with Product Managers to drive outcomes. We value people who focus on solving problems rather than describing them. You proactively identify obstacles, propose solutions, and work collaboratively to move initiatives forward.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years designing enterprise product experiences. 
• An online portfolio demonstrating wide-ranging experiences. 
• Professional knowledge of latest interaction patterns for web, user-centered design process, design principles and techniques. 
• Experience using Figma to create low to high fidelity prototypes and mockups. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to influence day-to-day design and research work.
• Ability to balance needs of concurrent projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience understanding the value of, collaborating with, and leveraging user experience research.
• Examples of AI tools usage to improve outcomes (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Bard, internal ML models, RPA, Figma Make, etc.).
• Ability to quantify AI impact (e.g., time saved, quality improvements, improved usability, revenue growth, reduced errors, faster delivery).
• Proficiency with approaches to AI usage (e.g., prompting strategies, data governance considerations, bias mitigation, evaluation/validation of outputs).
• Practice following relevant safeguards and compliance practices (security, privacy, IP protection).

Education

• Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
• Experience advocating for user experience in defining and prioritizing themes across UX and engineering teams
• Demonstrable experience with complex and modern web designs with the ability to create meaningful and delightful experiences
• Experience maintaining and evolving design systems
