Job Summary

As the Senior Oracle Apps DBA/Platform Administrator you will be responsible for the administration of Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle database, Oracle middleware, and related technologies.

Responsibilities include Upgrades, Maintenance, operational tasks, topology builds for the underlying EBS technology, and database including setting up Single Sign-ON, managing integration services using Oracle integrated SOA gateway, Oracle Identity Cloud Services, SSOGen, Weblogic Administration, SOA middleware.

The role also requires database administration including backup, recovery, performance tuning, and administration of Oracle databases and setting up high availability and disaster recovery architecture for enterprise applications and databases.

The ideal candidate will work with DBA’s, integration SME, Cloud Engineers, Security teams, infrastructure teams, Project Managers, Change Management team, and other counterparts and internal IT teams.

Responsibilities

•    Establish, contribute to and adhere to all key departmental operating procedures around governance, project management, software lifecycle management, change management and application controls
•    Provide oversight on key delivery of application topology solutions and enhancements as needed in Oracle technology space
•    Performs Oracle EBS Applications database administration (DBA) tasks including patching (adop cycle and opatch), cloning, creating backup and recovery strategies, upgrading, performance tuning/optimization of Oracle EBS systems for recoverability, security, confidentiality, and integrity.
•    Administer OFM / WebLogic/Apache HTTP/Tomcat / LB and drive Single Sign On implementation using SSOGen / Micorsoft IDaaS or similar technologies.
•    Administer Oracle Fusion Cloud environment with regards to setting up Single SignON, user creation, role assignments, reporting on roles/assignments, personalization aspects and working with oracle support on internal fusion cloud upgrades and patching.
•    Ensure technological documentation is created and updated
•    Ensure adherence to internal service management, ITIL guidelines and internal SLAs
•    Adhere to all key departmental operating procedures around governance, project management, software lifecycle management, change management and application controls
•    Identify and automate high value repetitive tasks
•    Perform other tasks and responsibilities as requested

Qualification

•    At least 6 - 9 years of demonstrated expert-level IT experience in Oracle technologies with a minimum of 5+ years as an Application DBA and 4+ years as Core Oracle DBA
•    Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Oracle Weblogic Administration and related technologies.
•    Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud administration.
•    Demonstrated expert level experience in implementation of various topologies in EBS space particularly High Availability, Disaster Recovery architecture and Shared Appltop.
•    Demonstrated expert level experience in integrating EBS to external systems particularly EBS Integrated SOA gateway.
•    Must have implemented Single Sign-On feature in EBS environment with LDAP tool
•    Experienced with installing, maintaining, upgrading oracle EBS (Ver  11.x, 12.2.x) and Oracle Database (11g, R12, 18c/19c) with different topologies.
•    Hands-on experience with Oracle Real Applications Clusters (RAC) to maintain a clustered database to provide performance, scalability, and resilience with Oracle Cluster Ready Services (CRS) in a Linux operating system (O/S); Experience with backup and disaster recovery.

•    Outstanding analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
•    Strong understanding of the ITIL framework

Education & Experience

•    Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or demonstrated equivalent education and relevant work experience
•    Minimum of 6 years of IT-specific experience related to Oracle Application DBA and Oracle DBA  with various topologies and versions
•    Minimum of 4 years of IT-Specific experience related to Middleware technologies
•    Minimum of 6 years of knowledge and experience working on enterprise applications
