Job Summary

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our hybrid cloud storage marketing team and help us convey the value of our products in ways that deeply resonate with customers. In this role you will have the opportunity to help define the strategy for how to promote the portfolio to our customers and enable sales and channel partners. You will translate market-leading technical capabilities and strategy into clear, compelling, stories, and assets that map business value and platform understanding to each stage of the buyer’s journey, by persona, industry, and business segment. You’ll develop visionary and practical product messaging and positioning, go-to-market programs, sales enablement, and more. You will measure success by our ability to engage our sales audiences, drive pipeline and revenue, and increase mindshare across our key marketing buyer personas. This is a highly cross-functional position where you will partner closely with Product, Digital, Field Marketing, Campaigns, and Learning Services teams. Essential Functions:
As a Product Marketing Manager you are part of a dynamic team that delivers value to the NetApp organization and supports sales and revenue generation goals.  
•    Analyze competitive intelligence, industry trends, market position, market share and growth rates to shape business strategy 
•    Create effective field enablement tools that highlight differentiated customer value to mobilize the sales force and channel
•    Represent the voice of the customer internally with Product Management and Marketing teams in the prioritization, design and development of products and experiences 
•    Lead the development of content, demand gen assets, demos, enablement messaging, plays, and GTM programs that drive pipeline, increase buyer awareness and mindshare, and increase sales awareness and mindshare

  • Requirements:
    •    A customer-first mentality 
    •    A strong storyteller with experience crafting clear and compelling messaging, and developing strong content (examples will be requested)
    •    Ability to work effectively across functions, with external parties, and at all levels to build a plan, get alignment and execute it 
    •    Ability to analyze key metrics and propose or make course corrections if necessary


Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years and a Master's degree or A PhD with 3 years experience or Equivalent experience.

Colorado Residents Only: If the Company determines this role will be performed in Colorado, the starting salary for this position is  ($140,000). This role could be eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), Company bonus, Employee stock purchase plan.. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors such as location, qualifications, certifications, relevant work experience and other factors, consistent with applicable law.
