Job Summary

NetApp have made a ‘big bet’ on providing data management solutions through public cloud providers. Our growing public cloud services team are looking to bring in a talented technical individual who is motivated to make a difference to our company’s success with public cloud providers.

This next hire will be based in a capital city in Australia ideally (although other locations would be considered) and operate in a posts-sales capacity, working hand-in-hand with our staff, customers and partners to foster adoption of our technology in their public and hybrid cloud environments.

We are the field team for NetApp’s Public Cloud Services business unit. It is a dynamic and rapidly growing area for NetApp - we pride ourselves on winning new business in new customers through an agile and adaptable business model, developing ourselves personally and professionally in the process.

Job Requirements

• Actively help customers deploy highly complex software architectures, installations, and integrations
• Skill up and maintain capability as an expert in NetApp Public and Hybrid Cloud services
• Mentor others cross-functionally to enable and coach them on NetApp Public and Hybrid Cloud Services
• Provide detail project planning, architecture and implementation plans
• Support customers in their deployment of NetApp Public and Hybrid Cloud Services
• Understand and translate customer business requirements into technical solutions
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in public cloud services
• Develop and enhance processes and techniques employed by our sales and technical teams

What you bring to the table

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-driven & independently motivated, you will not be closely supervised, so we need someone who will go out ‘get stuff done’
• Ability to prioritise and address multiple projects concurrently
• Appetite to learn and try new things
• Experience running proof-of-concepts for software and cloud solutions
• Strong technical knowledge of cloud concepts (AWS, Google or Azure certification beneficial, but not necessary)
• Familiarity with container orchestration and container runtime concepts and solutions
• On-premises infrastructure and enterprise workload experience are a plus
• A willingness to travel within APAC to customer locations, and occasionally further afield
• Strong English language skills (other languages are definitely a plus)
• University degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) plus two or more years of experience
