Job Summary
In this exciting time of growth, we’re currently in search of a Software Engineer to join our growing Development team here at Instaclustr. Now part of the CloudOps division of NetApp, we provide open-source applications as-a-service, delivering reliability at scale. We manage cutting edge open-source technologies (Cassandra, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch and Cadence) for our customers around the world.
We make it easy for our customers to run powerful open-source applications at the highest levels of scale. We have developed a platform that takes care of the whole lifecycle: provisioning infrastructure, installing applications and, most importantly, keeping the applications running reliably in production. Our customers run 24x7 and our business does too, with our operations team spread across the globe to supply fast, expert support and operational responses.
As a Software Engineer, you'll be working within a development team of between 3 to 8 team members. You will gain the opportunity to work on some truly cutting-edge technologies, expanding your knowledge and learning! To keep you motivated and excited about the work you are completing, our software engineers are rotated between development teams, granting you exposure to a variety of technologies, experiences and perspectives.
Job Requirements
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
- Strong experience in one or more modern programming languages and a willingness to learn more. (Our development teams predominantly use Java)
- Knowledge/experience of SQL
- Humble and collaborative nature, with the ability to work harmoniously within multiple teams.
- Good communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow your abilities as a Software Engineer
Education & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in software engineering or computer science (or other related discipline)
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in engineering
