Job Summary

As a Solutions Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and support to customers. The goal is to drive sales of NetApp’s best-in-class products within an assigned territory in NetApp’s global and enterprise account segments. You will utilize your strong technical and consultative skills to help evaluate customer requirements and design solutions to meet customer needs. Successful candidates will have strong backgrounds in data storage and backup, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and hyper-converged systems and platforms, including hypervisors, software-defined storage, and virtualized networking. 

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with sales teams to support customers in pre and post sales activities, including consulting on and disseminating product information and leading technical sales calls
    • Supprt the technical sales cycle including technical qualification, product and solution briefings, and proof-of-concept/demos
    • Present, psition and demonstrate NetApp technologies, solutions and services to prospective customers, articulating clear business value
    • Assess custmer technical storage and computing environments to assist in evaluating current customer needs and future requirements
    • Provide technical consultation and disseminate product information to the sales team
Job Requirements
    • Product and industry knowledge of cloud services-related solutions competitive to NetApp
    • A strong understanding of the storage industry, private and public cloud environments, virtualization and cloud management stacks (ex: OpenStack, vCloud Director, etc..)
    • In-depth knwledge of Public/Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Service Providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
    • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer-facing environment
    • Excellent technical cmmunication skills to work with prospects, customers, and cross-functional teams
Education

Requires a minimum of 5- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
