Job Summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) pioneered Public Cloud and according to Gartner Research, is still the leading Cloud Service Provider today. As the Cloud Product Marketing Manager for AWS, you will work side-by-side with the NetApp AWS Product Marketing GTM Manager and play an integral role in the positioning and communication of our Cloud Volumes Service for AWS and Cloud Backup Service to the market, customers, partners, and internal team. You help translate data management technology and consumable services into messaging and communication that helps our customers understand how NetApp helps them to develop, enhance and serve their cloud data needs.

 

NetApp has partnered with AWS over six years with a proven track record for co-inventing to deliver positive customer experiences. As a Cloud Product Marketing Manager for AWS, you will articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms that make sense to customers. This includes developing product positioning, product marketing content, supporting marketing programs to help drive the generation of Marketing Qualified Leads for the sales pipeline, and drive marketing contributed revenue. You will also develop and implement marketing strategies to respond to changing and/or competitive environments and adjust product positioning to closely align with customer and market expectations for our cloud products and services.

We are also looking for a candidate that demonstrates strong organization and relationship management skills, with marketing experience in a high tech, dynamic environment, which is crucial to success in this role.

 

Job Requirements

Main Responsibilities

As a Cloud Product Marketing Manager, you are part of a dynamic and distributed team that delivers critical value to the NetApp organization in the areas of go to market planning and execution and developing messaging and content that supports NetApp CDS sales and revenue generation goals. You are tasked to:
 

  • Own the creation and development of compelling, audience-specific messaging, content and tools for CDS products and use cases, including developing and managing a comprehensive content plan.
  • Develop and implement strategies for delivering the above product positioning, messaging, and sales-enablement tools.
  • Work with Product Management and Cloud Solution Architects to translate features and functionality into core value propositions and marketing messages.
  • Work with the AWS Product Marketing GTM Manager and Demand Generation team to create and execute on programs and campaigns that support sales growth and pipeline acceleration.
  • Work with Product Management, and Business Development and Sales teams to develop referenceable customers for highly repeatable use case applications.
  • Partner with Cloud Solutions Architect and Product Management and Sales to deliver CDS product content that will accelerate the sales process to achieve sales revenue goals, including videos, web content, presentations, webinars, etc.
  • Own product launch strategy and end-to-end delivery of key deliverables for launches.
  • Drive excellence around product launches, announcements, demand generation and content activities including tradeshows, conferences, sales kickoffs and ongoing sales training or channel partner training activities
  • Be the voice of the customer to the organization providing clear product marketing direction and leadership.
  • Be the subject matter expert on the marketing and go to market solutions for the product. 
  • Establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
  • Track general business indicators, including market share, and competitor's marketing and sales program activities to continually adjust product and solution positioning.  
  • Partner with events team to drive the strategic joint marketing objectives, positioning and message at relevant events and technology summits.  

 

 

Education
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
