Join the Storage Firmware team at NetApp Core Storage Engineering (CSE) for a dynamic 6-month internship!

As an Intern Firmware Engineer, you will be part of a talented group dedicated to crafting embedded software for cutting-edge NetApp storage solutions. Dive into the realm of high-capacity, high-performance SAS and NVMe-based storage I/O modules and disk shelves. 

Essential Functions

• Collaborate closely with team members to design and implement software solutions in C 
• Engage in the entire product lifecycle, from design and development to testing and debugging 
• Create efficient and reliable software for new storage products and enhancements 
• Assist in addressing customer escalations 
• Engage in technical discussions within the team and cross-functional units 

Job Requirements

• Working efficiency in C, C++ 
• Effective verbal and written communication skills 
• Strong team player mindset 
• Familiarity with computer architecture, data structures, and standard programming practices 
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills 
• Exposure to Windows and Linux platforms 
• Eagerness to learn real-time operating systems, embedded software development tools, and storage protocols like Ethernet, SAS, NVMe, SCSI, and SATA 

Your Profile

• You must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree 
• This internship opportunity is perfect for 3rd-year students seeking a 6-8 month internship as part of their degree program 
• Happy to come into the Cork office a minimum of twice a week as part of our hybrid work culture
