As part of our dynamic Research and Development organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance system software that powers enterprise storage solutions.

This entry-level opportunity is ideal for engineers who enjoy working close to the operating system and solving complex technical challenges in C/C++, Linux/Unix environments, and system-level software. You will contribute to enhancements of existing products as well as the development of new capabilities across the entire product lifecycle, including product definition, design, implementation, debugging, testing, performance optimization, and early customer support.

The role provides hands-on exposure to storage systems, operating system concepts, multi-threaded software, debugging, and performance-focused development. Essential Functions

  • Work as a member of the team on projects involving development of new features, sustenance, handling engineering escalations
  • Participate in all phases of product development cycle: from product definition and design, through implementation, debugging, testing and early customer support
  • Work collaboratively with other peer team members and other teams on the product like QA, Systemic Test Engineering support and other dependent engineering teams to understand customer use cases, deliver solutions and bring in the value from those teams into work done within the team.

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on proficiency in C, C++, and Unix/Linux system programming is required (must-have qualification)
  • Familiarity with design and development of system software
  • Strong understanding of OS internals
  • Proficient in algorithms, data structures, and multi-threaded programming
  • Expected to have sound software engineering practices and a passion for quality
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both written and oral

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
