Job Summary:

New Product Introduction Engineering Program Manager with experience driving hardware and software program execution from product definition through successful product release and transfer to manufacturing and sustaining engineering.  Must have experience building and leading a cross-functional, multi-site program team; setting program goals, plans, schedules and budgets; closely monitoring and reporting on program execution; managing and mitigating risks and driving issues to resolution.    This is a challenging position working in a very fast paced environment, with the opportunity to utilize your experience to positively influence the company’s product portfolio.

Job Requirements

- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.

- Excellent knowledge of product lifecycle, tools, processes, and operations planning.

- Ability to provide leadership in a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined metrics requirements.

- Demonstrated experience working with hardware and software development engineers on complex projects.

- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.

- Program Management training or demonstrated experience.

- Ability to work on complex issues where analysis situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

- Ability to develop longer-range project plans and schedules to complete complex projects.

- Able to manage multiple programs simultaneously involving internal teams, contractors, and suppliers

- Fluent in Microsoft Office tool set (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Point) required.   Familiarity with SharePoint, Confluence, Wiki

- This individual will apply broad expertise or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given time, budget and resource constraints.

- Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions.

Interaction:

- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.

- Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently.

- The ideal candidate is a self-started and will be a proactive contributor

- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through leadership and influencing multiple individuals and groups.

- Often acts as mentor or facilitator.

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
