Job Summary

NetApp IT’s Infrastructure Operations and Support (IOS) is a dynamic leading-edge organization that designs, implements, and supports the technologies that enable the entire enterprise. IOS is seeking an experienced Platform Support engineer to join dynamic team of technologists who are at the forefront of supporting and revolutionizing NetApp's worldwide infrastructure and services. As an Platform Support Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, IT architects, Cybersecurity, support teams and developers. The ideal candidate will be familiar with IT infrastructure platforms including Linux, Windows, Cloud Computing, Cloud Storage – On/Off Prem

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to application migration and development on various platforms
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and resource usage
  • Resolve technical issues, troubleshoot network, application, and security problems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Manage incidents, escalate critical issues
  • Proficient in scripting languages for automation
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code principles with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Conduct detailed problem analysis
  • Handle change management and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain a knowledge base for efficient issue resolution and knowledge sharing

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Certification in AWS or Kubernetes is preferred
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Zenoss, Splunk, Instana
  • Proficient in MongoDB, NetApp storage solutions
  • Familiar with Kubernetes, Rancher, containerized workflows
  • Skilled in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Jenkins
  • Proficient in Ansible Tower, Terraform, Chef
  • Experienced with Git, Gitlab, GitHub for version control
  • Skilled in building, deploying, and troubleshooting containers
  • Well-versed in Splunk for log management
  • Proficiency in AWS Services: EC2, EKS, S3
  • Knowledgeable in MariaDB, Istio Service Mesh
  • Experienced in writing Ansible playbooks, patching OS
  • Recent experience with LogicMonitor, SNMP, Netflow

Education

Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 109,650 - 162,800 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
