Job Summary
As District Sales Manager, you will lead a sales team to execute against our long-term strategies and shorter-term plans to meet revenue targets. This challenging and highly visible position provides leadership, management oversight and mentors Sales Representatives. You must be a result-oriented leader with a solid customer, partner, marketing, and revenue-focused mindset, you will ensure smooth and predictable sales realization for NetApp’s BeLux Commercial business.
Your Role
- Translate strategy to your district execution plan and to your team.
- Establish short and long-term goals, quotas, and execution activities in line with our objectives.
- Provide oversight and leadership to account managers for goal attainment, while acting as coach, mentor, and development guide.
- Communicate Corporate Strategy to the Sales Representatives within your District.
- Participate in regular growth/planning sessions and deal reviews; Identify and qualify important Commercial sales opportunities at the management level.
- Maintain business operations including forecast management and discipline, marketing program alignment, reseller, and alliance partner relationship management.
- Keep senior management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
Your Profile
- Ability to inspire and mentor a diverse account team with both direct and indirect reports as well as extended team resources including Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, Customer Support, and Product Development in a demanding and rewarding sales environment.
- Demonstrated ability to surpass goals, seizing opportunities to push the envelope and define new opportunities to serve customers through partners and achieve results.
- Experience developing strong relationships with C-level executives, both at the customer and partner level.
- A high degree of familiarity with the changing IT infrastructure including migrations to public cloud, private cloud and hybrid architecture is a plus.
- An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
- Experience as a Sales Representative with a track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas in contiguous, multiple years.
- Demonstrated track record of success in developing, implementing and executing a comprehensive scale Commercial GTM strategy.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or business curriculum; masters preferred
- 15+ years of related experience selling Technology/Data Center/Cloud Solutions
