Job Summary

NetApp University Education Business Partners (EBP’s) serve as ‘Account Managers’ who manage audience and stakeholder relationships and the execution of learning programs for our global sales organization.

This individual will be responsible for the GCASK – China/Hong Kong/Taiwan/ Korea/ ASEAN region and requires a person with effective communication and partnering skills. They will be expected to develop strong trust-based relationships over time with all stakeholders from Senior Executive leadership, Regional VP’s and Directors through to local team mangers and their respective team members.

They will work directly with numerous leaders and their teams in multiple countries across the GCASK region to identify and manage learning requirements on an on-going basis, ensuring they are aligned with key business imperatives and NetApp U’s go-to market training courses and curriculums.

This individual will be responsible for the execution of several critical activities including defining training strategies and programs, analyzing audience needs and requirements, defining overall curriculum plans and learning maps, and organizing the delivery of training and on-going reporting and communication to achieve defined success metrics.

EBP’s must possess a good business sense, must be accomplished at problem-solving skills and the ability to aggressively drive initiatives cross-functionally. They must be comfortable working in a fast-growing environment while adapting to and introducing change. 

Essential Functions:

• Manage relationships with all stakeholder communities Sales/SE/PS/Partner/ALP/ Customer and serve as the voice of NetApp University to those stakeholders to become a trusted training advisor

• Define and drive an overall strategy for focused, ‘audience-aligned’ curricula - based on stakeholder needs, market opportunity & business goals

• Collaborate with portfolio product training/development team within NetAppU to drive innovative training solutions that meet the training needs of the sales audience in the field. Will assist in the design and customization of industry content.

• Project Manage and execute on all learning requirements for your sales audience’s specific training programs across the portfolio of learning solutions from NetApp University

• Report and track learning metrics for managers, executive dashboards, and analyze effectiveness

Job Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of NetApp products preferred.
  • High-level knowledge of IT infrastructure preferred
  • Training experience and understanding of NetApp Alliance partner is needed
  • Experience with advising stakeholders on training requirements, sales methodologies and processes, and the deployment across a distributed sales/SE organization preferred.
  • Experience at assessing training needs, developing a plan to meet those needs and executing the development and deployment of the training.
  • Strong networking, oral, written communication and presentation skills are essential at all levels from individual contributor to SVP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cross-organizationally in a collaborative manner at multiple levels in the organization
  • A track record of planning, operating and driving results independently with limited supervision and direction.
  • Ability to express a vision and inspire teams to move forward together.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other web-based systems
  • Future support of the JV will/may be required to be determined 

Education and Experience    

• 5-8+ years of training/program management experience preferably with sales

BA/ BS required. MBA or other advanced degree with experience in the training, Instructional Design, OD, Business, Sales or consulting recommended.

• Required languages 1st English, 2nd Mandarin also preferred Cantonese
