Title: Enterprise App Programmer
IN
Job Summary
The Platform Technology Solutioning team is the backbone of NetApp's enterprise data and analytics infrastructure — owning the platforms, pipelines, and governance frameworks that power business-critical decision-making across the organization. As an Enterprise App Programmer within this team, you will operate at the intersection of Snowflake platform engineering, DataOps, and integration pipeline support, directly contributing to the reliability, scalability, and security of one of the organization's most critical data ecosystems.
This is a hands-on, high-breadth role suited for a technically versatile platform engineer who thrives across platform administration, ELT/integration pipeline support, and data governance. You will work closely with Enterprise Architects, data engineers, and cross-functional business stakeholders to ensure that foundational data infrastructure runs efficiently, evolves intelligently, and stays compliant with enterprise security and governance standards.
The Platform Technology Solutioning team operates as the platform reliability and enablement engine for NetApp's enterprise data organization. The team is responsible for three core pillars: Snowflake & Integration Platform Administration, Data Engineering & Integration Pipeline Support, and DataOps Operations. The team partners closely with architects, data engineering delivery teams, security operations, and business stakeholders to maintain high-quality, governed, and cost-efficient data infrastructure at scale.
Job Requirements
1. Snowflake & Integration Platform Administration**
- Administer and manage the Snowflake platform: environment provisioning, user roles, warehouse management, and stakeholder coordination per enterprise architecture standards.
- Oversee Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS): secure agent management, project tracking, and onboarding new teams to the integration layer.
- Design and enforce access control frameworks: RBAC, Row-Level Security (RLS), dynamic data masking, and MLOps environment provisioning.
- Manage the SAFE governance layer: onboard data classification tags, maintain tag policies, and ensure compliance across assets.
- Define architecture guidelines for new environments, covering database/schema design, data security, and access management.
- Conduct impact analysis for Snowflake updates and IICS releases, assessing workload, integration, and security implications.
- Configure/manage platform integrations: Azure services, OAuth setups, Snowflake data sharing, and external API connectivity.
- Monitor cost drivers, analyze utilization patterns, and implement FinOps strategies with regular leadership reporting.
- Perform Snowflake Trust Scanner security alert analysis, coordinate risk remediation, and maintain audit traceability.
- Execute credential hygiene operations: PAT rotations, RSA key renewals, MFA enforcement, and token lifecycle management.
2. Data Engineering & Integration Pipeline Support**
- Maintain and upgrade Oracle GoldenGate CDC pipelines for ERP, EIM, SAP, and EDH systems.
- Support NRT and batch ELT pipelines: table onboarding, full loads, schema changes, and environment transitions.
- Plan and execute migrations: Azure-to-AWS, IICS server upgrades, HVR updates, and legacy-to-modern platform transitions.
- Enable Disaster Recovery (DR) and High Availability (HA) configurations for replication infrastructure and IICS.
- Provide operational support for Snowflake and IICS environments in non-IT and cross-functional business projects.
- Coordinate major deployments across domains (Sales, Finance, CSOPS, etc.), including runbook management and post-deployment validation.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced degree (Master's) is a plus but not required given equivalent hands-on platform experience.
