Global Client Executive - Energy

We are seeking a Global Client Executive (GCE) to lead one of our global relationships and two that are emerging in the energy sector, an industry experiencing rapid transformation through digitalization, sustainability initiatives, and operational innovation.

Your Impact:

As a Global Client Executive, you will be the strategic leader for NetApp’s most critical global energy accounts. You’ll be responsible for orchestrating a cross-functional team to deliver transformative outcomes, drive growth, and deepen our partnership with Fortune 50 energy leaders operating across exploration, production, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the executive sponsor and trusted advisor for a marquee global client in the energy industry.
  • Continue to expand engagement with two strategic clients in the services function of the energy industry.
  • Develop and execute multi-year account strategies aligned with the client’s digital transformation and NetApp’s business objectives.
  • Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of business partners, including engineering, services, product and partners, to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships across the client’s global organization.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across business units, geographies, and solution areas.
  • Advocate for the client within NetApp to influence product innovation and service delivery.

  • Demonstrated success in enterprise sales and strategic account management.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder engagements across global organizations.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of industry trends, particularly in automotive or manufacturing.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive relationship-building skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.

  • Familiarity with cloud, data infrastructure, or enterprise technology.

Requirements & Education

  • Must have 12+ years of overall experience
  • Must have experience leading the global sales activity within 1-3 Strategic accounts to achieve assigned global sales quota for that account, and serves as a trusted advisor to the customer’s senior leadership to maximize global revenue from the account.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications are welcomed but not required.

Compensation:

The target salary range for this position is 340,000 - 440,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
