As a Sales Representative, Enterprise Sales, you will develop, drive and close complex sales campaigns into strategic accounts for NetApp.  You will be fully responsible for the sale of the full portfolio of products and services, delivering against weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals.  Collaborating with NetApp’s Inside Sales, Systems Engineering, and Field Marketing organizations, you’ll represent NetApp to our partners, prospects, customers and the community.  You will be responsible for an attainable annual revenue goal and benefit from an uncapped commission structure with accelerators for overachievement.

Job Requirements

The essential responsibilities of the Sales Representative is to build relationships that cultivate Enterprise sales opportunities and generate revenue in a given territory of accounts that meets weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals. Specifically, you will:

Own Business Development and Sales:  Drive strategic sales campaigns to customer business objectives and frame NetApp value proposition at a business level.

Build and Develop Key Relationships:  Utilize proven relationship skills to be able to hunt and farm a large account and maintain relationships across all levels. 

Partner and collaborate:  Leverage NetApp strategic partners to drive business and ensure the successful collaboration and marketing of NetApp solutions to effectively manage a large account.

Prospect & plan:  Spend 25% of your time prospecting inside the account. Consistently educate partners and customers with the use of internal and external resources.

Qualify & analyze:  Lead and develop account strategies using customers’ growth plans, budget, and project timelines.
Propose & close:  Always be leading the customer to a decision.  Be able to navigate the complexity of multi-million dollar deals, submit and present the customer with a finalized proposal with solutions, justifications, and expected results to overcome objections and win the business with maximum revenue/margin at closure. 
Manage a pipeline:  Leverage SalesForce.com on a weekly and sometimes daily cadence to update NetApp management on progress against revenue goals.
 

 

Proven Sales track record:  Proven experience in successfully managing a territory of enterprise accounts.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with equally strong listening and qualification skills.
Personal Attributes: A highly motivated, “refuse to lose”, leader and self-starter to lead a sales campaign from idea to close.  Candidate must be self-directed with the ability to collaborate and influence other across the extended team.  Mature and positive attitude with a passion for demonstrating business value to clients and partners in a technology environment.
Collaboration: Extensive experience working in large “virtual” account teams-field marketing, inside sales, pre-sales, services, channel partners. Expertise working with these teams, including partners, towards a common vision/strategy for each account.

Critical Thinking: The ability to think out of the box and come up with creative solutions that solve customer challenges is essential. 
Technical/Functional Skills: An understanding of NetApp’s business value and general storage technologies would be a distinct advantage in order to bring credibility within the highly technical cultures of NetApp customers and partners.
 

Education


Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Experience: 8+ years of proven IT sales experience. Additional sales or marketing qualifications centered on driving business value through the use of technology helpful.
