Job Summary

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads until they are ready to handoff to the sales team. You keep up-to-date knowledge of the technology industry and help drive awareness of NetApp’s products and services in the target business communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for inbound calls or emails and develop these contacts’ inquiries into prospects
  • Nurture leads from marketing through researching prospects via social networks and other market intelligence sources to enrich account intelligence and through setting-up appointments for the sales team
  • Position and promote strategic product and services offerings aligned to the global and enterprise accounts segments
  • Identify new prospects through outbound calls to marketing leads or through cold calls
  • Engage with prospects via telephone or electronically to identify business needs and qualify opportunities
  • Collaborate with NetApp sales professionals and Channel Development Managers
  • Log all activities and prospect contact points in CRM system for future tracking and collaboration
  • Update and maintain prospect contact information in CRM system

Job Requirements

  • Proven sales and research skills
  • Ability to keep up with technologies and data management trends
  • Working knowledge of sales tools including CRM, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills to follow department processes and workflow
  • Highly motivated and driven, with strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with people and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical customers
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within departments and across functions

Education

  • At least 1 year telemarketing / tele Sales experience in a B2B environment is essential. We also welcome applications from recent graduates who can demonstrate aptitude for the job;
  • Native in German and an excellent level of English. Other languages are a plus;
  • Relevant experience in the software- and data management industry is a plus;
  • A good understanding of the sales/buying cycle, and the ability to determine sales opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
