Job Summary

A unique and exciting opportunity for a B2B Marketing Leader supporting the NetApp DACH area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).

As a senior and experienced manager, you will be required to lead the DACH Marketing team in order to align local and global sales and marketing initiatives considering the global strategy. As a manager you will set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. In addition to managing the team you will need to quickly build and sustain strong relationships across the DACH sales organization, all business unit stakeholders, customers and partner eco-systems.

This position is located in Germany, Munich and reports to the Senior Director Marketing EMEA.

Job Requirements

  • Understand overall marketing strategy and translate into field tactics considering local markets and sales requirements
  • Develop annual marketing plan for DACH designed to create awareness and build pipeline for NetApp solutions
  • Identify audience segmentation strategy, vehicle and media mix recommendation, timing and forecast of results
  • Drive integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimization with your local and cross-functional corporate marketing team based in EMEA and USA. This will include demand generation, brand awareness, events, field marketing, web/online marketing, communications, Digital and Social.
  • Design Marketing Plans for various segments, including Account Based Marketing for Large organizations
  • Work with appropriate business unit groups (product marketing and strategy) to integrate existing and develop appropriate messaging platforms, content, and stories from which to build campaigns
  • Management of any external agencies required, especially PR coordination
  • Analysis of campaign performance and recommendations for optimization and future enhancements.
  • Management of project related budgets and responsibility for tracking and monitoring campaign spend
  • People Management of a local marketing team


  • Ideally 8 – 12 years successful related marketing experience, preferably in the IT vertical (Infrastructure, Software, Cloud Environment)
  • Experience building, driving and executing strategy across DACH
  • Experience building solid peer relationships in order to influence key stakeholders
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in business, marketing or related field
  • Must be an enthusiastic, well-organized self-starter able to use initiative and adapt to change
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Experience working with a US-based company as an in-country marketing manager a plus

  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders at all levels including C Level and Executive Management
  • Experience working in a matrix environment
