Werkstudent at NetApp

What are we looking for?

A student that can take over part of the Demo computer lab administration, with some of the following tasks:

  • Maintain our Self-Service Portal (PHP, HTML, MySQL) 
  • Developing new features for the Self-Service Portal (Like automating repetitive tasks for the lab users)
  • Automation of various repetitive Storage / AD tasks (using Ansible, Jenkins and/or Python)

 

Student Profile

  • Must haves:
    • Currently studying one of the following fields: Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik or similar fields
    • Some knowledge of PHP / HTML
    • Some programming experience
    • At least some knowledge in Linux and Windows
    • Solid English and/or German speaking skills
    • Team player but able to work independently
    • A desire and willingness to learn new things

 

  • Some experience with the following skills is desirable, but not a requirement (and you will learn some of these technologies during your time in this position):
  • Databases
  • Automation:
    • Ansible
    • Knowledge desired state configuration

 

  • Virtualization:
    • Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • KVM
    • VMWare ESX
    • OpenStack

 

  • Programming / Scripting Languages:
    • Python
    • Shell
    • PowerShell
  • Storage Concepts (NAS, SAN or both)
  • Networking

 

Student profile
•    University student or equivalent (not yet graduated).
•    Fluent in either English or German verbal and written (mandatory).
          -  If you are fluent in English, some command of the German language important (preferred).

          -  If you are fluent in German, good written communication skills in English (mandatory).


•    Currently enrolled as a Computer Science student at a German Univeristy.
•    You can work part-time as a student intern (‘’werkstudent’’).
•    Living in or near Munich.

Your hours
You will be available for 16 hours on a weekly basis for one year. Flexibility is possible!
