Job Summary

As a Channel Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new Channel pathways, new Go To Market strategies and engaging new Channel pathways to increase NetApp’s products and solutions sales. The primary duties includes selling NetApp’s products/services, developing and executing a strategy to create joint value propositions too and through the channel, new go to market strategies, to work with field marketing, to increase end user awareness, demand generation and to enable the Channel to increase sales. This role requires strong knowledge in the data management industry, strong communication and collaboration skills combined with a sense of urgency to drive revenue generation for the assigned territory. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new channel pathways and enable and prepare Channel Partners to deliver the NetApp data management message, including new Cloud solutions
  • Work close with alliances, hyperscalers for the right go to market approach
  • Joint planning with partners on vision, strategy, and execution plans to drive success of Channel Partners across all territories
  • Manage relationships with Channel Partners to gain visibility and mindshare to create revenue-generating opportunities with System Integrators, technology distributors, service providers, alliance partners and eco-partners
  • Collaborate with field marketing organization to plan, deliver, and manage effective demand generation campaigns for Partners across the territory and for end customer awareness
  • Collaborate with District Managers to determine “best fit” channel pathways for each target market

Job Requirements

  • Significant working knowledge of the storage and backup markets, data center environment, cloud connected storage, virtualization, and cloud data management
  • Track record of being a “change agent”
  • Good knowledge and experience of the data management industry, private and public cloud environments, virtualization and cloud management stacks (ex: OpenStack, vCloud Director, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Public/Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Service Providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Customer facing experience and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong solutions selling skills and good time management
  • Strong presentation skills, sales skills, polished communication skills with the ability to train others
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments and across functions
  • Willingness to travel in assigned territory
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in Swedish and English


  • Knowledge and experience working with customers in the Next Generation Data Center space (containers, analytics, cloud data, DL, ML, AI, IoT). 
  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience in the above technologies.
