Job Summary
We are seeking a curious, collaborative, and technically skilled Data Scientist to join our Workforce Analytics team. In this role, you will partner with People Analytics consultants and HR stakeholders to explore workforce trends, model behavior, and build scalable solutions that elevate employee experience and organizational effectiveness
This is a hybrid role in San Jose, CA or Raleigh, NC only.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Thought Leadership
- Stay up to date with academic literature, market research, and industry trends in organizational science, behavioral analytics, and AI.
- Proactively research key trends impacting talent (e.g. AI) to hypothesize the future of work.
- Design interventions and experiments to measure and improve individual, team, and organizational outcomes.
- Collaborate with external researchers, attend conferences, and contribute to publications or internal white papers.
Data Science & Analytics
- Design research and conduct statistical analyses and build predictive models to address workforce challenges such as attrition, engagement, performance, and inclusion.
- Apply machine learning techniques to identify patterns, forecast outcomes, and optimize HR processes.
- Integrate internal HR data with external benchmarks and research to contextualize insights.
AI Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and implement AI solutions aligned with organizational goals, including natural language processing, recommendation systems, and generative AI applications.
- Ensure ethical AI practices, data privacy, and compliance in all implementations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, data science, and HR tech.
Collaboration & Consulting
- Partner with People Analytics consultants to translate business questions into analytical approaches and to ensure data quality and effective storytelling.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, influencing decisions at all levels.
Education
- Master’s / PhD degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in data science, preferably within HR, People Analytics, or organizational research.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and integrity.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with HR systems (SuccessFactors) and survey platforms.
- Experience with AI applications in HR (e.g., talent matching, sentiment analysis, predictive attrition).
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and ethical AI principles.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 132,600 - 196,900 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
