Job Summary

At NetApp, we have an outstanding opportunity to work with the largest cloud providers and premier customers who enthusiastically choose our best of breed storage solution.  As a Production Engineering Manager within our Cloud Storage group You will operate a globally distributed cloud storage service and drive efforts that reduce risk to service uptime.  You will grow and optimize your team's capabilities while streamlining critical processes in order to add nines to the availability of the production environment.  You will work closely with our partners at one of the largest hyperscalers in the world to accelerate the delivery of innovation to our customers while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

  • People Manager role Leading a team of 8
  • Experienced with leading and supporting automated DevOps and CloudOps practices

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Powershell.

  • Experience with a major hyperscaler like Azure, Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services

  • Experience with preparing and presenting data to a wide variety of stakeholders including employees, managers, executives, partners and customers.

  • Lead a team of 8 engineers
  • Recruit, train and mentor a world-class team.  Develop careers through personal and performance management.
  • Consistently drive key abilities: Availability, Supportability, Observability, Security and Deploy-ability
  • Manage escalated engineering requests; Regularly review incidents to identify process deficiencies and foster continual improvement.
  • Identify product issues and work with engineering teams to resolve them.
  • Value the currency of knowledge and develop procedures to store and distribute it across teams.  Foster an environment of continuous learning.
  • Develop business analytics beyond spreadsheets to derive insights and KPIs using tools like PowerBI, Tableau and Looker.  Measure improvements in team productivity and ROI for key projects.
  • Apply strong leadership, and motivational skills, including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business units.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10-15 years of experience in managing teams who address technical and business issues.
  • A career progression of increasing complex and sizeable project work and business impact.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 207,400 - 309,100 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
