For a newly established HR Advisory organization, People Ops for 30 EMEA countries we are searching for an HR advisor/ HR Business Partner. The successful candidate who fills this role is responsible for providing excellent HR customer support to candidates, employees, managers, and alumni in EMEA (30 countries) on a broad range of HR subject matter. This support will primarily focus on employee and leader consultation, coaching and advising to resolve talent related opportunities and concerns. In addition to consultation, the person will also be called on to field routine inquiries.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties:

  • Deliver a high level of customer service to candidates, alumni, employees, and managers.
  • Ensure proper support in all the steps of the “employees’ life cycle”, from start date to termination.
  • Actively support the achievement of communicated Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for targeted services.
  • Provide consultation to managers in the areas of: Talent development; compensation; employee transfer and movement; benefits, annual performance management; return to work from leave; and other in-scope services as identified.
  • Partner with multiple Human Resources functions such as Recruiting, Learning and Development, Compensation and Finance and other teams on various initiatives in support of the division.
  • Ensure we are creating and maintaining consistent policies across the organization and working with appropriate partners when adjustments need to be made.
  • Answer complex policy questions and help identify when specialists or policy owner must be engaged to resolve the issue.
  • Proactively collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and HR centers of excellence (COEs) to ensure efficient, accurate, and consistent support is provided to stakeholders for escalated inquiries.
  • Partner with HRBPs on the line to deploy enterprise programs into the client organizations, actively monitoring completion status, guideline adherence, and other program requirements. Actively partner to resolve issues to drive successful completion.
  • Utilize case management application to record interactions and manage follow up.
  • Coach managers and employees through formal and informal performance counseling, escalating to appropriate specialist based on risk.

  • Contribute to the development and documentation of in-scope People Operations processes that meet evolving HR and business needs.
  • Support the continuous improvement in People Operations by identifying areas for change, automation, improved documentation, etc. that speeds effective service delivery.
  • Support and/or lead the deployment of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of knowledge of EMEA and Global HR policies and practices and effectively communicate this to customers to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Serve as an ambassador for People Operations within HR and with the internal customers of People Operations.

Education

Required Skills:

  • Customer service experience, preferably in an HR environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizing and time management skills; ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent requests for support.
  • Proficient English and German language skills are a must but we prefer even more languages.
  • Ability to confidentially manage personal and employee information.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems.
  • Experience working in case and knowledge management software, like ServiceNow, preferred.
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to execute routine and complex reporting using MS Excel.

Education & Experience:

  • At least 6+ years of related customer service and HR generalist experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
