Legal werkstudent at NetApp

As a Legal werkstudent, based in our Munich office, you will be part of a small experienced Legal team. The legal team at NetApp is responsible for all legal matters arising, including all matters relating to customer contracts and licensing, compliance, all purchasing arrangements, advice on deal structuring, intellectual property, competition law, data protection, HR and other legal matters. The legal team interfaces regularly with all parts of the NetApp business, customers, partners and staff members.

You will be responsible for:
•    The drafting, reviewing and negotiation of Non-Disclosure Agreements with customers/business partners and other third parties.
•    Assisting in-house Legal Counsels with other contract preparation, negotiation and arrangements for execution across all business areas.
•    Dealing with ad hoc queries from the sales teams and other business areas, including locating documents on contracts database repository, contractual interpretation and ensuing advice.
•    Legal research on matters arising, such as ECJ decisions that may affect the business.
•    Assisting and taking a lead role in various projects such as creating videos or presentations for EMEA or worldwide Legal meetings. 
•    Liaising with NetApp contract administration teams and lawyers and other interns across the world. 
•    Assisting the business in the providing of overviews to, and training for the sales community.
•    Assistance with general office administration.
•    Working with other interns to organize and promote volunteering opportunities through the company Volunteer Time-Off Scheme.


Student Profile

•    University student or equivalent (not yet graduated).
•    Fluent in German verbal and written.   
•    Very good verbal and written English communication skills. 
•    Currently enrolled as a legal or business administration student with a major in legal at a German Univeristy.
•    Ideally you have already gained work experience in previous (legal) internship(s).
•    You can work part-time as a student intern (‘’werkstudent’’). 
•    Strong Microsoft office skills – including Excel, PowerPoint & Word. 
•    Hard working, detail orientated, strong analytical skills, enthusiastic to learn, ambition to increase responsibility within the team, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), prioritization and planning skills. 
•    Living in or near Munich.

Your hours
