Job Summary

NetApp Cloud Infrastructure Architects leverage their technical expertise and NetApp’s industry leading data management portfolio of products and services to solve our customer’s technical requirements and drive successful business outcomes.

 

NetApp is approach the fast growing hyperconverged systems (HCI) market and builds a dedicated, focused sales organization to enable companies to build their private cloud platform, get a higher automation and simplify their datacenter planning & operations. This team is setup as a startup within NetApp with access to enterprise resources and market access.

You will be fully responsible for the sale of the focused portfolio around HCI, SolidFire and services, delivering against monthly and quarterly sales objectives.  Collaborating with a team of systems and consulting engineers, financial solutions and other specialists, you’ll represent NetApp to prospects, customers and partners.  You will be responsible for attainment of bookings goals benefiting from an uncapped commission structure with accelerators for overachievement.

Using a consultative solution selling approach you will help customers architect next generation datacenter environments and build their private and hybrid cloud platforms. To be successful, you will apply your industry solutions knowledge, talent, tenacious relationship building and partnering, to deliver truly differentiate and successful outcomes to our customers. 

Job Requirements

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect you work collaboratively as part of a sales team to design solutions that meet and exceed our customer’s requirements and expectations.  Key contributions and responsibilities include:

  • Successfully identifying and articulating the technical and business requirements to create winning proposals in conjunction with your sales, services and support team.
  • Lead product demonstrations and proof of concepts with our customers providing them the ability to experience simplicity and value of NetApp solutions.
  • Understand financial and operational requirements to help create ROI models that meet the customer’s needs.
  • Creation and execution of Technical Account Plans to align resources to customer’s needs that results in successful implementation of NetApp solutions, deeper relationships and better understanding of NetApp’s products and services.
  • Active participation in Field Specialist teams that drive initiatives and provide input to product and engineering organizations.

  • Mentor new team members.

  • Maintaining currency on complimentary and competitive emerging technologies like cloud usage and adoption, cloud architectures, developer environments (DevOps), automation, software defined datacenters, IaaS, VDI, databases (in a VM), Containers, Docker/Kubernetes

  • Engaging subject matter experts to help develop and present solutions when needed.

Education

  • 5 to 7 years of experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required.A Graduate Degree is desired.
  • Experience in selling into virtualized environments, cloud infrastructures, private cloud
  • Understand future datacenter architectures, automation and how you can operate on a much more simplistic way
  • Specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth.
  • VMware certification needed
