Job Summary

For the high-energy Sales Professional who is looking at accomplishing career growth by working with the latest Data Management and Cloud technology initiatives for the customers in the Government and Public Sector space. As the Government formulates digital transformation strategies to improve citizen services in an always-on and secure manner, Data Management and Data Security are key priority technologies.

This role provides an opportunity to lead a team of high performing individuals and manage Manages sales to end-users of both the Central and State Government departments as well as organisations. Incumbents who are managing a large team of individual contributors or  sales managers and people carrying their own quota as well are suited for this role. We are looking for a high-performing District Manager to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and resourcing for the plan which enables the team to meet the goals and objectives.

Job Requirements
  • Set and Achieve sales targets by designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands NetApp’s customer base in the Government industry segment.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts and be able to position NetApp’s technology and strengths to attain a leadership position in this market.
  • Strong understanding of the Industry, Current technology Trends and competitive offerings in the marketplace
  • Demonstrates the ability to attract, recruit, mentor and performance monitor the sales team on their annual as well as quarterly sales forecasts.  Sets revenue targets and ensures targets are met.
  • Ability to build a strategy and lead the execution alongwith the sales team.
  • Working collaboratively with functional peers across functions including Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering and Customer Services.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques
  • An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
  • Experience as a Sales Representative with a track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas in contiguous, multiple years.
  • The interactions of this individual require strong people skills, such as negotiating with customers

BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 8+ years
