Job Summary
As ANZ Senior Finance Manager, you provide financial leadership, business acumen and support to the Sales VP for ANZ and his Sales Leadership Team. You provide financial analysis and recommendations in complex deals, as well as budgeting, adherence to those budgets, planning, business processes and reporting. You will perform financial modeling to help business planning decisions. As a subject matter expert, you will utilize your strong financial background and related experience to positively contribute to NetApp Australia’s goals and vision, in alignment with the Corporate goals and vision. You will review and approve recommendations for financial planning, and you actively promote all aspects of control and compliance. This role reports to the Senior Finance Director for Asia Pacific.
Essential Functions
- This role has responsibility for a wide range of financial support and analysis tasks, and is responsible for directing and controlling activities at the most senior level within the overall ANZ Area. You will help to ensure that key objectives and project deadlines are met.
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex deals
- Prepare and drive operational and financial metrics in support of key decision making
- Gather, analyse, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills by working cross-functionally to establish clear goals, objectives and priorities that communicate the organisation’s vision, and then executing against agreed action plans.
- Participate in projects related to financial systems or business processes.
- Work with cross-functional groups to provide financial support to the ANZ team including:
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Variance analysis
- Deal and tender pricing
- Integrate financial processes and operations of the business.
- Participate in long-term projects and strategic initiatives
- Translating functional strategies into actionable operational plans and priorities
- Some level of Company Secretarial functions, including compliance with Government Agencies
- Interaction as and when required with the Finance functions which have been centralised overseas, including Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Tax and Treasury.
Job Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Good interpersonal, influencing and communication skills as needed to work successfully with multiple staff levels, especially within both Sales and Finance.
- A demonstrated ability to manage professional level employees.

- Ability to work in a project based environment.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, especially revenue recognition
- Experience with developing budgets and managing within those budgets
- Strong Microsoft Office skill
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience is required.
- A University Degree, or equivalent experience is required, plus membership of a professional Accounting Association
