Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Commercial Acquire Rep is to land new customers. The CAR will achieve assigned territory revenue goals by developing and managing a pipeline of sales opportunities through the sales process in a specific territory from prospect to close. This includes discovering and developing new opportunities, managing pipeline, executing strategies, and managing customer growth. You should be quota-driven, and represent NetApp in high cloud propensity customer acquisition accounts within the territory, working closely with Hyperscaler Specialists, SPOT specialists, the Digital Sales organization and NetApp partners to exceed overall sales objectives.

Job Requirements

  • Prospecting developing business responding to RFP’s developing proposals for presentation to customers and selling Products and Services.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills.
  • Broad exposure to a variety of storage and cloud technologies/concepts
  • Work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions.
  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions.
  • Responsible for a specific geographical install base and medium to large accounts. May have own account responsibility or work on a team.
  • Works with senior internal personnel within the function some employees in other functions that support the sales effort and has direct customer contact.


IC - Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.Mgr & Exec - Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
